​The Summit Church is a growing, multi-campus church ministry in the Raleigh Durham metro of North Carolina with more than 100 staff members and lay people.  Microsoft Business Productivity Online Services (BPOS) helped them achieve stronger collaboration and reduce the IT administrative burden.

 

 Business Need

 
​They had a need to move important documents away from individual user's computers and into a centralized ministry portal.  Church IT staff were volunteers, so they also wanted a way to reduce the burden and expense associated with on-premise Microsoft Exchange deployments.

Vision

Eastridge worked with the volunteer IT staff at The Summit Church to prototype Microsoft BPOS during a 30 day trial period to test email, SharePoint, Live Meeting, and Office Communicator.  Together we mapped out a plan to house critical church departmental documents and a roadmap for migration.
 

 Benefits

 
​The church now enjoys enterprise class email, collaboration for individual ministry groups, and secure document sharing for a fraction of the price of on-premise software.  Because The Summit Church was qualified as a 501-C3 nonprofit organization, they pay only $4/month per user for the full suite of Microsoft online Exchange, SharePoint, Office Communicator, and Live Meeting.
