Office 365
provides the company with the security they need against spam and viruses, the
reliability of a 99.9% uptime guarantee, and the flexibility to add or delete
accounts as they see fit.
In addition
to avoiding the upfront payment for servers, the upfront cost for Office 2010
software (for new employees) was also avoided with Office 365. Within the
Office 365 Enterprise (Plan 3), Office Professional Plus upgraded each user to
the most recent versions of Office and guarantees them a recurring upgrade as
new versions hit the market. The advanced capabilities of Exchange Online not
only provided email, calendar, contacts and discovery, but also included archiving.
Lync Online provided the communication needed to connect the company across the
southeast region with virtual meetings, instant messaging, voice and video
calls, and desktop sharing.
Windows
Intune filled a void in the company’s infrastructure at a fraction of the cost
of an on-premise solution. Intune provided big-tech results with a small-tech
investment, with remote PC management and an always up-to-date Windows desktop
license.
