​A leading defense department contractor needed to replace a twenty year old script based collaboration system without spending a tremendous amount of money.  Eastridge laid out a plan to utilize their parent company's Enterprise SharePoint Server and set out to work with their internal team to realize this goal.
 

 Business Need

 

A Defense Department Space Systems Contractor needed to integrate their new workgroup SharePoint Portal into their larger parent company SharePoint portal.  In addition to improved collaboration across multiple locations in the United States, they needed improved collaboration and tighter integration with their larger Enterprise MOSS installation and its authentication and load balancing mechanisms.
 

 Solution

 

Eastridge collaborated with  customer staff in Pennsylvania and Colorado to review current architecture and help revise it. In addition, Eastridge provided support for the customer's internal developers, serving as knowledge experts for their team, as well as developing custom code on an as needed basis.

The SharePoint based application provided a key benefit to the business in their project efforts. It replaced a 20 year old script based solution that was not performing adequately and lacked the collaborative capability offered by a SharePoint based solution.

In addition, given the economic conditions prevalent in the industry at the time, Eastridge's flexibility and standards of business conduct maximized the use of the consulting dollars and provided the customer with maximum benefit for their investment.
