Quarterly Marketing Automation

​A marketing and public relations agency needed a way to speed up their quarterly marketing servivces for their truck manufacturer customer, while at the same time reducing cost and providing a better experience for truck dealers across North America.
 

 Business Need

 
​Eastridge design and marketing partner Horn and Stronach approached our team in 2003 to assist them with automating and streamlining a quarterly marketing flyer program for a North American heavy truck manufacturer.  They wanted to automate a slow and labor intensive process related to creating customized dealer marketing flyers for each dealership every quarter.

Vision

Eastridge worked with Horn & Stronach to develop a ‘dealer portal’ application which allowed the heavy truck dealers in North America to customize and layout marketing flyers through a secure web portal.  Today the program has grown to include two separate truck brands as well as a personalized URL (PURL) feature that targets the largest and most active truck dealers.
 
This program was kicked off in 2004.  Eastridge has been supporting Horn & Stronach quarterly every year since the program started with major system feature enhancement every one to two years.

Architecture

This custom web application is built on Windows Server with ASP .NET and SQL Server 2008.  Currently the application is hosted with a mechanism for uploading the current product SKU, descriptions, and pricing before each quarterly flyer is produced.
 

 Benefits

 
​Today the web application is hosted by Horn & Stronach for their customer.  Truck dealers have the ability to quickly customize their own quarterly sales flyers using drag and drop without having to stop and work with a graphics designer at Horn & Stronach.  Once the flyer is designed by the customer Horn & Stronach checks the output in Adobe Illustrator format, makes any necessary corrections, and sends out to print for delivery back to the truck dealer.
